About Our Service
We are able to scan most printed photographs, colour or black and white. We can scan both loose photos or those that are in an album. We also scan polaroids.

All photos are scanned at a resolution of 600dpi as standard and saved as JPEG files. Colour restoration and dust/scratch removal are applied wherever possible as standard. We can also make a separate scan of any notes on the rear of a photo.

Regular Photo
Scanning
Loose standard photos printed on normal photographic paper will be scanned at a high resolution of 600dpi which will capture all of the detail within the original picture. This resolution is perfect if you want to reprint the photo again in the same size or an enlarged printed image up to approximately double the original size.
The digital scan of your photo will be cropped and rotated correctly. Faded colours will be restored, the brightness and contrast enhanced, and red eye removal applied, all as standard.

Flatbed Photo
Scanning
A professional flatbed scanner is used to scan any small or delicate photos or photos still in frames or on printed card. This process can also be used to scan letters, documents, postcards and diaries up to a maximum size of A4. Usually we will scan to JPEG files at a resolution of 600dpi. Wherever possible, the scan will have dust and scratches removed, faded colours restored and the colour balance adjusted as necessary. Each image will be cropped and rotated correctly.

Photo Album
Scanning
This service is available for albums up to A4 size. Albums can be scanned page by page to capture both the photos and any notes on the pages. Individual photos can also be scanned in situ and separate scanned images produced for each photo.
Note: If you would prefer us to remove photos before we scan them, we charge an additional £7.50 per album for our white glove removal process.
